As the Assistant Event Director of Taste of Toronto I implemented marketing strategies to promote the event and drive ticket sales, assisted in developing content for the event, supported restaurant management and liaising with restaurant talent in conjunction with operations, managed event expenses, drove the advertising design process, managed the website design and content, and managed suppliers and advertising agencies output and relationships.

As an Account Executive for City Parent Magazine I was responsible for selling advertisements into monthly publications, speciality publications, digital opportunities, loot bags and consumer shows. I maintained and supported existing clients while also gaining new clients. I helped clients with their short-term and long-term advertising goals to maximize their advertising results.

As an Account Executive for The Good Food & Drink Festival I was responsible for researching restaurants and chefs in the Toronto region. As part of the re-branding of the festival, it was important in incorporating local chefs and local restaurants into the festival to bring more of a neighbourhood feel. I met with multiple restaurant owners and chefs to inform them of the upcoming festival and how they can participate. I handled soliciting my own clients for the show and booking exhibitor booths.

Oakville, Ontario

I was responsible for handling the daily operations of an intensive sales program that was set in place for three publications and their sales representatives to participate in. I acted as the liaison between the sales representatives, management and the outside sales program company. I handled the data entry of over 2000 clients in a 2.5 month time frame. I also took on the role of a sales representative during the face-to-face sales week with clients and committed 8 businesses to the year-long advertising program which resulted in over $18,000 in sales.

Premier Publications & Shows is a division of Metroland Media Group. Premier Consumer Shows is one of the top 5 largest consumer show producers in Canada specializing in powerful niche market events. As the Events Specialist & Exhibitor Relations I was responsible for the event production from start to finish. My duties include prioritizing various events in all stages of planning & execution concurrently, preparing event paperwork for clients & internal staff, as well as following proper procedures for contracts with suppliers, exhibitors and staff.
