I have researched in two different labs, the first was primarily focused on DNA extraction from Bacteriophage and the second and most current lab I am in is focused on the isolation of Bacteriophage from the bacterial communities of mosquitoes and how they interact with the West Nile Virus.

Responsible for programming small and large scale activities for community engagement, connecting residents to resources on campus, creating partnerships between campus clubs and academic departments, handling crisis situations and documentations

In this role, I created regional resources to empower student leaders from housing associations from colleges and universities throughout Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. This included revising documents and legislation to be more inclusive, as well as leading task forces and supporting students through one on one mentoring.

In this role I acted as a representative for my institution and attended student leadership conferences where I voted on both regional and national legislative measures for the organization. I also collaborated with other NCCs across the region in certain committees designed to benefit growth of student leaders and advance the organization as a whole.
