Preformed genetic crosses using a Drosophila model to observe growth patterns of retinal determination genes in the developing eye. Executed dissections and mountings of larval Drosophila eye imaginal discs. Performed Immunohistochemical Assays and analyzed results using brightfield and confocal microscopy. Completed a literature review addressing the retinal determination gene network in the fruit fly.
