Select, train and supervise staff and manage operational functions in residence facilities. Provide services directly to students such as personal and disciplinary counseling and social programming. Coordinate administrative operations. Maintain liaison relationships with college offices and outside contractors. Participate in the overall planning and management of the residence facilities.Essential Duties*Serve as primary personal counseling resource for students in dealing with specific residence facilities problems including roommate conflicts, personal and emotional problems, diversity issues, and other developmental concerns. *Meet with students for disciplinary concerns; enact appropriate judicial sanctions and/or personal counseling to effectively resolve disciplinary problems in consultation with the Dir. of Student Services.*Assess student needs and interests; anticipate and promote social and recreational programs, which are supportive to the residence community.*Manage operational functions for residence halls such as key distribution and collection, damage assessment, reporting and billing, maintenance requests, and facility openings and closings. Serve as facility manager for residence facilities including conducting room checks, reporting and following up on housekeeping, maintenance and mover requests.*Assist Dir. of Student Services in the planning of renovation work needed in the residence facilities.*Manage and coordinate all room assignments and changes in the residence facilities and communicate/resolve problems in accordance with established procedures. Respond to all inquiries, problems, and complaints from students, staff, and parents related to the residence facilities.*Assist the Dir. of Student Services in making recommendations for the purchase of furnishings and equipment, improvement of housekeeping services, preventative maintenance and safety measures.*Assume "on-call" responsibility on a 24/7 basis.*Live on site
