One of two lead consultants on the Canadian branch of a quantitative and qualitative study of civil society perceptions of the UN Sustaining Peace Agenda. The research included designing research questions, conducting key informant interviews (KIIs), facilitating focus group discussions (FGDs), disseminating surveys, and writing reports. Participants included women, youth and First Nations civil society leaders. Fifteen countries with varying economic and cultural profiles were studied. This research aims to inform global policy discussions on the Sustaining Peace Agenda, building on the UN General Assembly Resolution 70.262 and its twin Security Council Resolution 2282.The project is funded by UN Women.

Research support for a project that investigated electoral security in the ECOWAS region. Conducted qualitative analysis of field interviews, wrote background papers and assisted in the writing of the final report for the research project. Countries of interest included Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Guinea. The project was funded by the United States Institute of Peace.

Project 1: Working under the guidance of Dr. Claire Turenne Sjolander, I conducted literature reviews on teaching and research supervision at the graduate level, created annotated bibliographies and conducted comprehensive presentations for the Graduate Studies Committee of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Council.Project 2: Working alongside Ms. Nancy Lalonde-Zaidi, I constructed a manual of best practices for on-boarding of new professors at the University of Ottawa, met with members of staff and faculty at the University of Ottawa to identify best practices, and conducted comparative outreach measures with similar universities to gain further insight. During this contract, I presented on-going findings at various meetings at the University of Ottawa.

In multiple contracts for Dr. Rebecca Tiessen, formerly with RMC and presently with the University of Ottawa, I conducted literature reviews and created annotated bibliographies for SSHRC-funded academic and United Nations research projects with a focus on gender issues in development.The research surrounded gender equality and Canadian engagement in fragile states and conflict-affected communities, specifically South Sudan, and reviews of country national action plans (NAPs) on women, peace and security as related to the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325.In each contract, publications have been produced for the Women, Peace and Security Network - Canada, and the International Journal - Canada's leading journal of global policy analysis.
