Working collaboratively with colleagues across the public sector to develop impactful programmes driven by global opportunities which support more Scottish companies to export internationally, as well as attract inward investment into Scotland. Consistently delivering high quality briefing, speeches, project and event management and evaluation, as well as strong stakeholder and relationship management.

The International Visit Programmes team for Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International lead on Ministerial and senior staff engagement overseas. These high profile programmes drive opportunities for Scotland to do business globally through business events, meetings and media relations.My role is extremely varied and can range from planning and delivering business events in market to drafting a succinct briefing on the investment opportunities in a particular sector or providing background for a minister in advance of a company meeting. I work extremely closely with global teams from across our organisation and the Scottish Government, as well as our partners and participating companies, to deliver a "Team Scotland" approach to generating the most impact from an overseas trade mission or ministerial visit. I currently lead on all activity within the Asia-Pacific region and in the last year have worked on ministerial and senior level visits to Japan, China, India, Vietnam and Myanmar.

Working as part of the International Communications team to deliver international PR strategies to maximise the media coverage in our key geographies, as well as working closely with partners and stakeholders to deliver overseas visits for Scottish Government ministers and senior staff of Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International.Also responsible for the development of The Source as a valuable resource to aid collaboration and sharing of consistent messages on Scotland and its sectors between all Team Scotland partners.

Managed and developed the TeamScotland Extranet into a tool for sharing knowledge and information, as well as aiding online collaboration between globally dispersed teams. Work closely with Scottish Development International Digital Communications and Marketing teams, as well as engaging with stakeholders and external partners.Developed working knowledge of collaboration tools such as SharePoint and was trained in web content tools such as Sitecore.

Worked on the dissemination of information on the European Union and it's opportunities to Scottish SMEs. This included developing web content, eAlert and newsletters, organising events and awareness raising seminars, as well as researching individual company enquiries into trends in European markets. Also was an active participator in the Enterprise Europe Network, representing Scotland at a number of European events and dedicating myself to improving the quality of the network as part of the Code of Conduct Working Group.
