Concentration in Security Studies, authored capstone report analyzing the role of the armed forces in modern Argentina and the future implications of then-President of Argentina Mauricio Macri’s plans to reintegrate them into internal security. Experience studying abroad at the Alberto Hurtado University in Santiago, Chile in 2017.

Worked with Benjamin Gedan, former South America Director on the National Security Council, on a wide range of program research on economic, social, and energy policy issues in Argentina. Drafted and proofread program materials in English and Spanish. Helped coordinate Argentina Project events, such as a panel discussion on FIFA corruption and the rule of law in Argentine during the 2018 World Cup. Co-authored short pieces on Argentine current events for the Argentina Project’s weekly online newsletter, the Weekly Asado, including Q&A sessions with Argentine public figures. Collaborated with Mr. Gedan on my MA capstone project.

Completed an independent research investigation through Georgetown University on the international response to the flow of Chilean refugees during the Pinochet dictatorship, and the subsequent condemnation of the regime’s human rights abuses. Conducted investigation and delivered final report in Spanish.
