I am analytical chemist with the Biomolecular Pathways 1 team within the Environmental & Molecular Sciences Lab (EMSL) at Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. My current speciality is nanosampling technology including nanowell fabrication, robotics, microfluidics, cell culture, and novel nanoflow LC-MS instrumentation. Most of my work utilizes our automated nanoPOTS (Nanodroplet Processing in One pot for Trace Samples) platform for high-thorough put single-cell proteomics and metabolomics research.Our team utilizes cell isolation technologies like Florescence Assorted Cell Sorting (FACS), CellenONE, and Laser Capture Microdisection (LCM) coupled with our nanoPOTS High-Performance Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry (HPLC-MS)to enable deep proteome profiling for spatial and single cell samples. These capabilities are offered to outside researchers who are interested in solving environmental problems, completely free of charge, through the support of the Biological & Environmental Research (BER) program.In addition to the work I do with EMSL, I work closely with the Integrative Omics group within Biological Sciences Division to analyze trace biological and environmental samples.
