As an intern my responsibilities are very similar to a sales associate, other than attending a class held by Nordstrom leaders once a week to learn about the business of merchandising. I work the sales floor and assist customers in finding what they need as well as making returns and placing orders. Another responsibility is making sure my department, BP/Savvy/Topshop, is clean and in order at all times. I briefly worked with the visual merchandising team to set up for Nordstroms' Anniversary Sale, as well as interdepartmental set up.

At Geri Care my responsibilities are scanning and filing old invoices and receipts onto the computer for future notice. Geri Care consists of 7 nursing homes, in which all receipts and charges need to be accounted for through the accounts payable department. I scan these documents and file them into boxes, labelled with the name of the nursing home and the year, to be shredded.

As a customer service intern at Weatherbeeta I assist with placing orders for vendors as well as processing any credits or returns they might have. I mostly communicate with these vendors via phone, and am the middle-man between them and their main account manager. I aid the account managers, in-office and out-of-office, with anything they need such as samples or leftover orders that need to be shipped. I also helped with re-merchandising the showroom for the new season as well as creating pamphlets for upcoming trade shows.

As a sales associate at Rick's Saddle Shop I mainly help customers find what they need, wether it be clothing, leather goods, riding equipment, or any equine accessories like brushes and horse boots. I take inventory of the store once a week to figure out what merchandise needs to be reordered. I preform saddle fittings and boots fittings for customers of any age and keep products within their desired price range. I also organize window displays and in-store displays that change for each season and holiday.
