Program Manager Of Training And Outreach
CurrentThe mission of the Utah Microloan Fund is to empower underserved communities throughout Utah by providing business training and funding up to $50k to entrepreneurs in start-up & existing businesses that do not qualify for traditional funding sources. I fulfill a dual role here as we are a small but mighty team. I provide one-on-one counseling to the 100+ clients of the UMLF. This includes advising these small business owners on best practices on how to start or grow their business. I also participate in the development, promotion, coordination, and delivery of small business training classes. Both the one-on-one counseling and our trainings focus on social media, marketing, sales, business planning, cash flow, HR needs. To do this I manage a database of my clients and their business information, viable guest instructors, class materials, and more. I also prepare ongoing reporting on the program to our government and corporate benefactors. For outreach, I handle the A to Z of the marketing and outreach for our organization. This includes managing our website, social media profiles (LinkedIn/Instagram/Facebook) our online presence (Google Business, Yelp, etc.), participation in local chambers/events, branding new, etc. The primary purpose of our pages is to share helpful resources, market our classes/events, info about our loans, and more. I also spotlight our clients by sharing updates from them as well as Business of the Month interviews I write into a blog each month. I am also able to design all of our art needs such as flyers, reports, graphics, animated social posts, and more. I just helped roll out a brand new website for the UMLF along with our developer Eighth Avenue Designs. In addition, I run our client advisory board which is comprised of current borrowers who meet quarterly to provide valuable feedback to our organization. I also help prepare our annual report, help facilitate the marketing and admin of our Banking on Women program, and much more.
