I was lucky enough to start the business with encouragement from clients and suppliers alike. From small beginnings in a small office, the business and team grew quickly which led us to having to move to larger premises.The business is now based in a beautiful light filled studio close to Cambridge station to the south of the city.Working on a large number of projects ranging from high end residential properties, to bars, clubs and restaurants along with working with a number of property developers.Our main strength is to work with our clients from concept through to completion, taking full control of the procurement and fitting. Each project is different but the level of quality that we offer is always maintained at a high standard, we are proud to have a fantastic team of highly skilled craftsmen and an endless list of the best suppliers from across the world.Covering a large area, from East Anglia, Hertfordshire and London, we also travel further afield to properties abroad.

Working as the Senior Interior Designer for ten years, first in the Bishops Stortford branch and then moving with the company to Cambridge. Advising, designing and managing full design projects for high end residential clients and also commercial properties. Some of the most interesting work I was involved in was the researching, sourcing and making of textiles for the Henry Moore Foundation in the re-building of Henry Moore's house to open to the public and also working in the private chambers of the Bank of England.In addition to my main role as Designer, I also went on regular buying trips for the entire Clement Joscelyne group with the Managing Director. The shows included Maison et Objet in Paris, the Cologne furniture fair, Milan and various British trade shows.

Initially working as a design assistant to the owner, I worked my way from the ground up. This time was spent estimating projects, producing full technical drawings, pattern cutting, working alongside all trades, purchasing, accounting and even hanging off scaffolding towers during fittings. In my later years at Payton Interiors, I was personally designing and managing multi-million pound properties within Essex, Hertfordshire and London along with running the day-to-day business managing a team of designers and admin/logistical staff. These were exciting times, it was fantastic to grow alongside a small company and see it develop into a successful business. I felt my time had come when the business had built a solid team enabling me to move onto bigger challenges.
