Founded in 1979, Swallow Hill Music began as an outgrowth of the Denver Folklore Center, a music store in Denver’s Swallow Hill neighborhood that offered music lessons and performances to the community in the 1960s and 1970s. When the Folklore Center closed temporarily in the late 1970s, a group of committed volunteers formed Swallow Hill Music as a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “bring the joy of music to life every day.” From these humble beginnings, we have grown to become a cultural asset and distinct thread in Colorado’s musical fabric.As a home for individuals and families who want to learn about, listen to and perform music, we invite everyone to connect and experience music in their own way. Swallow Hill Music hosts exceptional musical experiences throughout the community, focusing on the presentation of world-class artists who enrich the local arts scene and range from noteworthy local performers to up-and-coming and seasoned national and international acts. Launch and run a successful, multi-million dollar fund development campaign to meet STRIVE Prep’s growth goals.Work closely with the Director of Development and Communications to create and adhere to an annual strategic development plan.Support the moves management process and cultivate existing and new donor (individual, corporate, and foundation) relationships with the intent of sustaining and increasing the relationship with the donor.Work with the Grants and Communications Manager and the Development Committee to create strong campaign materials, including a case for support, campaign collateral, giving levels, and tour scripts.

I worked with College Summit for over eight years it wasn’t long after that I was conducting independent research on new prospects, developing fundraising strategies, and taking the initiative to cultivate and maintain donor relationships; ultimately increasing fundraising by 250% for our region and developing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to generate revenue from individuals, government, corporations, and foundations. Despite a challenging economic environment, all of College Summit's current funders have continued their support (and in several cases, increased their giving) and I have secured new funding because of my effectiveness, tenacity and perseverance.
