• Provide pre-sales technical details on tooling process/feasibility, DFM & cost inputs to sales team to prepare quotes for new products involving progressive tooling, blanking, notching, over molding, die casting & miter cuts.• Lead Design & development of Tools, molds for all new business wins along with Indian and overseas suppliers.• Drive the tool & mold prove-out at supplier location and Tempel facility in-line with PPAP requirement & Tempel Tool prove-out guidelines.• Provide technical/design support to address issues faced in press shop & tool maintenance.• Visit customer sites for all critical quality complaints and provide improvement solutions to eliminate recurrence.• Review, Categorize & Develop Tooling supplier & associated production equipment suppliers from India, China, Taiwan & Japan with Special focus on EV motor core manufacturing & Renewable Energy Customers.

Key Responsibilities –NPD & Project Management:• Provide pre-sales tech. details on Mfg. process/feasibility, DFM & cost inputs to sales team for new products involving riveting, welding, core assembly, fabrications, forging, machining & painting.• Design & develop Tools, Fixtures, SPMs, and Automation systems for new wins.• Evaluate, shortlist, and develop suppliers on Engineering front for child parts involving fabrication, rotor shaft forgings, Machining, plastic over molding, aluminum die castings, painting & powder coating.• Collaborate with suppliers to conclude on the best process to meet cost, quality, and delivery needs.• Create and follow-up on timelines for all new projects, escalate and address potential deviations & update to customers weekly.• Understand Part drawing, create PFD, PFMEA other related documents for PPAP with CFT.• Facilitate PPAP audit/joint inspection as per AOI and obtain customer approval for mass production.• Establish a Lean manufacturing process for new part & hand it over for regular production internally & at Supplier.• Liaison with Sales team to create new business opportunities by forward integrating customer’s next process.Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Engineering:• Identification of areas for improvement (Projects) and prepare concept solutions in 3D. Make presentation (ROI) and obtain management’s approval.• Lead the improvement project through detail drawing preparation, manufacturing, outsourcing, assembly (mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricals) & Prove-out• Represent Tempel with QA team for any customer complaints, analyze the problem at customer end, propose CAPA, process improvements to eliminate Quality Defect.Key Responsibilities - Lean:• Conduct time and motion study & take necessary action to improve M/C utilization, optimize man utilization & reduce operator fatigue. • Lead and deploy Business Excellence best practices throughout the organization involving CFT members.• Training.

1. Develop Prototypes to Support R&D Activities (Sheet metal, casting, machined parts, etc.) 2. Design and Manufacture Tools, Fixtures (Welding / Assembly / Inspection fixtures) for New Products launched & develop automated test rigs for Assembly testing.3. Prepare Process Flow Chart for New Tooling Manufacturing, Follow up, receive and validate the Tooling and handover to production department for serial production use.4. Implement Lean Manufacturing Concepts like KANBAN, SINGLE PIECE FLOW at all Assembly Stations.

Key Responsibilities – Tool room In-charge:1. Manage preventive maintenance of press tools, fixtures for production without stoppages.2. Design modification and improvements in press tools & fixtures for better production.3. Manpower, Cost and Working Capital Management of Tool room department.4. Fixtures Designing and manufacturing for Welding SPMs.5. Horizontal Deployment of Improvements done in Cluster Companies.6. Update Tool History Card and Analyze tool breakdowns and implement CAPA.7.Implement 5S, Kaizen and QC initiatives. Conduct Weekly Safety Training to Operators.Key Responsibilities - Production Engineering & New Product Launches:1. Identification of Areas for improvement in Production lines – analyzing the Takt time, Cycle time and potential cost savings that can be obtained. Preparation of concept drawing and getting approval for the identified projects.2. Lead the improvement project through detail drawing preparation, manufacturing, outsourcing, assembly & testing, observation & feedback, after trial improvements, formal handover and ‘before-after’ presentation.3. OEE improvement by implementing TPM and SMED.4. Prepare, discuss and present Technical Details for machinery procurement under Capacity Expansion Projects.5. Conduct Manufacturing Feasibility study for all New Product proposals and propose any need for design updates that will lead to efficient manufacturing of the product.6. Prepare Process Flow Chart & Shop floor equipment layout for new product manufacturing.7.Design and Develop necessary Press Tools and fixtures and handover to manufacturing department after successful Pilot Production Run with NPD signoff form.
