Colleagues describe her as "I have had the pleasure to serve as Sarina's skip level during her tenure at Dataiku, who I now consider to be a foundational member of the "2nd generation" of Dataiku Support and an early member of our Americas team. As the initial and sole support engineer in the west coast at the time, Sarina quickly impressed everyone with her alignment with Dataiku Support's core values, notably being extremely tenacious / resilient when it comes to working on support tickets (often complex and even more so with very little backline support from our Paris-centric engineering team). In particular, Sarina showed a high degree of technical aptitude and consistency in her ability to "deep dive" into various issues and identify the root cause all while remaining very customer-centric and friendly to engage with. Some of Sarina's greatest strengths include a high degree of proficiency around Docker / Kubernetes and cloud technologies but she is also an extremely balanced support engineer that can handle a wide range of topics, whether it be python, code debugging / usage guidance, frontend, backend, code environments, system packaging, Rest APIs, webapps, networking, Hadoop / Spark, various databases, and the list goes on. Her technical proficiency as a support engineer and ability to provide very thorough but precise explanations has earned the respect of all her fellow support engineers, making her a natural fit for a support lead position as the team expanded in the Americas. As a team lead, Sarina brings her own unique flair to management and leadership. She has a very close relationship with members of her own team. Given the distance between our west coast team and R&D (still Euro-centric), Sarina often takes it upon herself to claim the most challenging of open support tickets, giving room for other members of her team to work in a more comfortable manner while still providing all the necessary support they need to be successful. Being a pillar of the Support organization, the fact that the west coast team is a high performing team and also works well with our other regional teams (e.g. east coast + APAC) can be directly attributed to her presence within the region. As a final point, besides being a strong individual performer and effective team lead, Sarina is more than willing to fight for her team and her dedication to the betterment of the entire organization / support practices also causes her to regularly raise challenging topics, all of which I respect and consider necessary for the inner dynamics of a healthy yet regularly evolving organization. At the end of the day, Sarina would be a strong value add to any high performing support organization (she could frankly perform well in a variety of technical roles / capacities) and I have greatly appreciated my time working together with Sarina.
