Sarkis Zeronian is a qualified solicitor with 25 years of legal, operational and managerial experience across a range of sectors. An enthusiastic team member and confident communicator, he has worked at senior management levels alongside fellow directors and client-facing colleagues to develop and implement corporate strategies, as well as engaging external support (such as IT and HR consultants and specialist legal and financial advisers) to ensure the smooth-running of operational infrastructure. This included leading investigations into employees, successfully defending a substantial employment tribunal case, and concluding redundancy processes and group reorganisations. Using his wide network of contacts, he also generated business leads for consultants, enhanced their client proposals, reports and contract negotiations with his input, and fought fee disputes.He is a solicitor admitted to the roll in 1998, having secured his honours degree from the University of Southampton then passing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford (now the University of Law) with a commendation. Sarkis qualified as a City solicitor, training and practising initially at Simmons & Simmons where he gained exposure to general commercial, corporate M&A and private equity work. In addition he spent time on secondment to KPMG when working with KLegal/McGrigors, and Royal & Sun Alliance whilst working for Pinsent Masons. After legal practice Sarkis worked in the recruitment industry. He was a founder member of the Legal Search team at a London-based specialist search boutique, and thereafter spent nearly four years with Piper Pritchard Associates. He also spent some time as a solicitor in a commercial litigation practice where he advised recruitment companies and other clients experiencing contractual disputes and reputational management problems. With his mix of corporate and litigation practice and experience of work in the business arena outside of law firms, Sarkis offers a valuable insight into the impact of legal issues on clients’ commercial motivations. Outside of work Sarkis is a social sportsman who plays tennis regularly, and enjoys travel, reading and films. He ran the London Marathon for a hospice charity, and took part in a rowing expedition on the Mississippi River for an international education and development charity, leading the expedition leader - Olympic rower John Pritchard - to describe him as "the amazingly stoical Sarkis Zeronian, definitely a man to have alongside you in the trenches".
