I specialize in developing and executing growth strategies and managing special situations using a unique design+systems approach. On occasion, I teach graduate-level courses at DC-area business schools, and also mentor a small number of applicants to top-ranked graduate schools and colleges by using a disciplined method that I have developed.My background includes 20 years of experience spanning strategy consulting, international finance, economic research, and tech-based social entrepreneurship. As a strategist, I have served a wide array of Federal clients, including the SEC, the US Air Force, Army, Navy, GSA, and USPS, as well as small- to mid-sized tech/finance companies. Earlier in my career, I co-led the private equity initiative focused on growth and special situations at the Censeo Consulting Group. As an entrepreneur, I have been the founder/cofounder of 5 businesses combining aspects of e-commerce and human development focused on evolutionary learning and innovation ecosystems.A lifelong learner, I am currently pursuing a doctorate in international affairs at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins, where my research is focused on the application of a dynamic network model to understand the evolution of human organization from first principles. I have an MPA in International Development from Harvard where I combined the doctoral level economics core of the MPA/ID program with finance and management MBA-electives at Harvard Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management. I graduated with a degree in economics with highest honors from Northeastern University. I also took graduate courses at Washington University in St Louis and spent some time as an undergraduate at University of Cambridge in England.Outside of work, I practice aikido and iaido, and serve as an assistant instructor at Georgetown Aikikai. I also enjoy writing short stories and mixing up flavors in unconventional ways when in the kitchen.
