I possess 26+ yrs. experience. 23 yrs in SW Development & Mgmt, 3 yrs in IT education. Actively participated in all aspects of product development and management viz. feature planning, agile development, requirement gathering, analysis, implementation, deployment and maintenance Enterprise level SW solutions. At present working as Senior Manager - R&D Product Development in BMC Software, Pune, for BMC Helix ITSM product line, playing active role in managing R&D Product Development, Customer Engineering, Problem Management and People Management, along with contributing greatly as a technical architect, lead and mentor. My responsibilities include:• Product development and management leadership: Includes resource planning, alignment and management, release scoping, development process setting and adherence (Agile, Scrums and SoS, Thorough Code/TC Reviews, Unit testing & Automation…), collaboration with QA, Performance and Security team, Product management, Project and Program management, Product architects, Cross functional teams for integrated solutions…), meeting goals in time with quality, decision making, providing regular updates to leaders in higher mgmt.• Customer Engineering: I manage the Customer Engineering functions which include Customer/Support Escalations handling and resolutions across BMC Helix ITSM product line.• People management: Along with resource planning, I take care of hiring, grooming and retaining talent, performance evaluation, compensation mgmt, knowledge sharing, team building, training, etc.• Technical mentor and contributor: Assist the team in requirement gathering, analysis, design and architecture, evaluating solutions, implementation to deliver quality solutions on time. I act as a technical mentor to SaaS operations, Technical support, Professional services, Technical marketing and Product management teams for resolving critical customer requirements and use cases.• Advocate for Product Quality: I contribute to Problem management and Product management by identifying hotspots in product through defect/issue/escalation analysis, participating in community forums to understand customer needs, issues and coordinate with Product management team to create RFEs.• Communicate, coordinate, collaborate with stake holders in cross functional teams, product management, higher management for dependency resolution and smooth operations.• Customer advocate and Community champ: I participate in communities and events, conduct and contribute in KT sessions, webinars, blogs and work with IDD team to enhance product documentation.
