Enriching the lives of children by helping them develop transferable skills to compete in an evolving global environment is of high importance to me. In particular, I am interested in closing the attainment gap between students from disadvantaged backgrounds and their more affluent peers.My teaching is underpinned by a range of strategies, which are used to engage students and support learners in achieving their full potential. A critical feature of my work is collaborating with colleagues to share successful practices. Additionally, I am experienced in curriculum development, writing schemes of work, analysing data and using the information gathered to implement strategies aimed at supporting learners’ development, knowledge and understanding.
