I did my studies in the fields of environment and geography (UNIL / UZH), and finished a PhD in Glaciology (WSL / ETH). The purpose of my thesis was to define the potential of UAV photogrammetry method (or the drone technology) on alpine glaciers. Doing a PhD gave me the opportunity to work in an independent manner over several years and, at the same time, to collaborate with international people and partners. I also had the chance to mentor Master students, take specific classes and develop strong coordination skills through the organization of field campaigns, meetings and conferences.It always has been important to me to be involved in the community and communicate on my work. I created the APECS Swiss National Committee, which is an association that re-groups early careers working in polar and high alpine environments several years ago.
