As a Service Refresh Development Manager I was responsible for managing and delivering service refreshes of IBM Java JDK . The team is spread across Canada, UK and India. . Most of IBM SWG products use IBM JDK as their runtime and hence a critical piece of technology for SWG products.Main objective was to ensure that the Service refreshes did not regress in quality as these version of the JDK was packaged as a part of number of IBM Software products like Websphere , Rational etc.Lead Service Releases of IBM SDK 142 SR8 and SR 9 . Responsibilities- Deliver successfully Service release of IBM Java which had Development Line items and defect Fixes.- Work and coordinate with globally distributed Java teams (UK, USA and Canada) to deliver Service refresh on time. It also involved assisting the PM with scope management (LIR sizing, scheduling and ensuring trace ability through to Development and Test- Maintain IBM JDK code quality - objective was to ensure that the Service refreshes did not regress in quality as these version of the JDK was packaged as a part of number of IBM Software products like IBM Websphere ,DB 2, Rational etc.

As a Software Engineer in Java Technology Center was responsible for Leading the System Test Team which included Testing various releases of IBM Java (IBM Java 131, IBM Java 140, IBM Java 141, IBM Java 142, IBM Java 5 ). Responsibility included Integration Testing as well as Non Stress System verification Testing.Responsibilities- Lead System Test Team in Bangalore and successfully tested various releases of IBM Java (IBM Java 131, IBM Java 140, IBM Java 141, IBM Java 142, IBM Java 5 and IBM Java 6). Involved in transition of the following work items from IBM Hursley Labs - AutoJCK tool, BaRT tool, Certification and audit process. - Responsibility includes developing new test cases and finding reporting bugs for various releases of IBM JDK- Successfully transitioned the Java Certification work from IBM UK Labs Hursley in 2003.
