In my current role, we work with the enterprise architects to align with the roadmap and vision and mission of the customer. Gather the customers’ requirements and design, implement, administer and provide support for the Server, storage and backup systems. Monitor the existing systems and find bottle necks or performance of the systems and proactive planning to avoid any performance issues or outages. Customer’s environment which has been worked with keen observation and analysis, there has been many improvements suggested and implemented in terms of process and technology. Worked with migrating data centers which are active-active which minimum impact to availability. Always being cost cautious and suggesting customer to have an environment to run with maximum ROI. Some of the major activities are listed below.• Working as a lead administrator in my current role, with good skills of Windows/Linux/VMware/ Storage, SAN & NAS. • Currently managing a team of 15 technicians with onsite and offshore model to supporting 4500+ servers, 5PB of data in three major regions with 24/7, 365 days’ support in the area of Server, storage and backup. • My personal achievements in the recent year are redesigning the SAN fabric networks for the customer which gave a benefit of more than 100K USD investment reduction in the new procurement. • Gave a unique solution to the VMware VAAI unsupported storage cleanup and reclaim which saves months of works to days, savings per activity is nearly 47k USD per activity.

Worked as a lead Data Center Migration from India supporting a very huge environment. Transformed the customer infrastructure to a private cloud with high availability. This migration phase has taught me many new things for my technologies as migrating from one technology to another is not an easy task. We had to follow as several phased approaches to complete, the outcome was a customer beneficiary and major cost savings.• Migrated an environment of nearly 3000 servers of both physical and virtual• High availability of data to all applications. Data Migrations across different storage arrays and platforms.• Capacity planning Forecast pipeline of growth by determine allocation of different service tiers.• A three-way phased approach to the migration which was planned and executed for the customer with minimal impact to the availability.

My role with this customer as a Server/ storage administrator managing their infrastructure.
