Provide business support to environmental health officers. Maintain data base for all incoming invoices for purchase orders, schedule of payments and status of overdue accounts Also manage purchase order for the environmental health team, Finance team and Business Support. Monitor receipt of goods received against the goods received notes and enter onto system ready for payment. Prepare invoices at month end for all contracted jobs for Pest Control Team. Provide customer service to residents, police, other local authorities, doctor’s surgeries, councillors, and chief executive’s office to make or change bookings, advice of updates on case status and deal with residents who come into reception or drop paperwork at reception and enquiries with regards to incoming post, emails or by phone calls. Coordinate and administer clinical waste collection, food registrations, immigration requests and all noise and nuisance complaints. Administer on-line payments for pest control treatments, animal welfare licencing, tattoo and piercing registrations. Monitor several internal and external inboxes, gov.uk inboxes and take appropriate action within a set timescale. Extract reports for total land charges and deal with the requests utilising an internal system and property files which has to be accurate and compliant. Collate incoming calls from both external and internal customers and direct them to the correct department. Deal with emails from both internal and external customers e.g. residents, councillors, chief executive’s office, police or other local authorities. I have been a Service Excellence Champion, this involved setting up an information centre which is updated daily with all current statistics incorporating changes and new information and is communicated to the team. My additional responsibilities are to update the End of day board for Environmental Health team and arrange problem solving meetings with the team and managers.
