I currently work for High Speed 2 as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant where I support the client-side design of stations and civil structures, particularly station common design. I also work with the wider design team for administration, graphic production and the organisation of the Independent Design Panel.During my architectural studies, I researched and designed schemes to fit a range of briefs such as high-density residential units and community-led workshops, through which I could practice my skills in hand and digital drawing and modelling with software such as the Adobe Creative Cloud and Rhino 3D. I enjoy designing user-driven and culturally rich buildings to reflect vernacular design and often use fine art to influence my work.My interest in art and craft helps me be a better communicator and designer - I often use fine and contemporary art to influence my personal illustration and fibre work, as well as textile construction theory to produce bespoke garments.In the past, I've worked with local organisations aiming to make my local area safer and build the local economy by supporting small businesses and artists. I have a background of working with children, with a front-of-house role where I built strong, tailored relationships with both students and parents.
