During this period at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), I had the opportunity to undertake a detailed pilot survey and extensive fieldwork in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, focusing on the implementation and impact of Solar Irrigation Pumps (SIPs). My responsibilities included conducting focused group discussions and individual surveys with villagers, operators, and buyers, utilizing relevant apps for data collection across 15 villages and 48 SIPs. Following the fieldwork, I meticulously organized and analyzed the data using Tableau to create comprehensive visualizations, drafted a 50-page report, and prepared a Canva presentation to present my findings to the IWMI panel. This experience enhanced my practical data science and economics skills, deepened my understanding of sustainable agriculture, and shaped my career aspirations toward innovative, data-driven solutions for global agricultural challenges.
