I worked as a Data Scientist at Qualcomm partnering with a global team of business process analysts and consultants to develop and implement IT strategy by using advanced analytics for maximizing resource efficiency across 4 different countries. I aided in making data-driven decisions for multi-million dollar purchases for engineering development sites globally by partnering with corporate finance, engineering management and IT teams for supporting Qualcomm's overall project portfolio. I developed and presented business cases to Engineering Investment Council to secure more than $50 million in capital investments annually.

I used statistical modeling and advanced analytics for forecasting hardware and software requirements for global engineering operations on an IT infrastructure portfolio which was valued over $155 million. I also helped in optimizing IT resources and network utilization according to upcoming project roadmap and conducted variance analyses between forecast and actual usage and presented results and key performance indices to engineering leads on a bi-weekly basis.

I conducted ROI and cost analysis and presented recommendations to senior management to drive key business decisions for capacity planning on a monthly basis. I managed short-term and long-term production planning for high volume manufacturing sites globally. In my role as an Industrial engineer, I worked on a cross-functional taskforce across manufacturing, engineering and program management to shrink time-to-market from 3 months to 6 weeks for a new product launch. I received multiple recognition awards from technology teams including Intel’s Hall of Fame Award for my work on the taskforce.

I developed algorithms for solving large scale optimization problems for areas operating under uncertain demands and high service levels expectations, such as telecommunications, energy, finance, emergency management and distribution systems. The results provided decision-making tools for these sectors and were published in Management Science journal.

I instructed several graduate and under-graduate courses on Engineering Economics Analysis, Statistical Process Control and Quality Management Systems.
