Supporting the AI team in a Principal Consultant/Advisory role

I lead the newly formed Applied AI & Data Science team at Leapfrog, Nepal office. In this role, I managed the team of ML & Data Engineers, setting the company's AI vision & strategy, standardizing the AI research and engineering culture, developing AI solutions for client projects, and helping the company leadership with the sales and marketing of our AI services.

Working with Leapfrog's internal engineers to inculcate good Data Science practices, training them, brainstorming new project ideas, and working on solving day-to-day problems they face while doing their job.

In this role, I worked on developing state-of-the-art NLP tools and a Knowledge Graph of clinical texts for a novel healthcare diagnostics product using the Clojure programming language. I also advise the founding team on Data Science strategies and best practices.

I started CraftData Labs to help different organizations both at home and internationally cut through the hype of AI and develop meaningful data products that actually provide value.CraftData is different from most other consulting and research companies in that we value design and user experiences as the core part of the data products we build and is not an afterthought. We believe in "Craftsmanship" and take pride in the solutions we develop.

Worked as a data scientist on some of the most challenging projects for SFL, including creating an prediction and optimization solution for an online horse race betting, simulating security vulnerabilities in residential homes, optimizing an NLP pipeline for US Patent registrations etc.

As a co-founder, I was responsible for everything from developing the company's vision and brand, our solutions roadmap, and technical architecture, and was also heavily involved in client project engagements from their start to finish. I also oversaw our team in the Kathmandu office.The company was merged with Wiseyak Inc. as part of a strategic shift into Healthcare AI.

This was mostly a research-oriented role conducted in collaboration with Google Inc. My work was focused on understanding how mobile advertisement works and can be studied by modeling a first of its kind algorithmic model for raw HTTP packets for mobile and PC users. This research culminated in me developing an Adtech analytics framework and generating weekly insights reports for this nascent market.

Involved in the initial development and design of a flagship Mobile Analytics product for Zokem (acquired by Nielsen). Duties varied from developing the technology backend, designing the analytics metrics and client reports for Mobile Internet Usage Insights.

I conducted research for the MoMI2 project and also wrote my Master's thesis. The topic was broadly related to Mobile IP traffic measurements and understanding Mobile internet usage in Finland.
