As a child, exploring and creating outside was more than just a pastime. I innately knew construction was more involved than erecting a sturdy box. I positioned my forts strategically on mounds with vantage points and made moats. Sculpting my surroundings was something I took seriously. I was intentional about the details, ensuring safety from lurking goblins. Now, instead of providing security from imaginary monsters, my objective is to design safe places where people can thrive. Whether I knew the name of the discipline or not, it has always been important to me. Elevating the benefits of wholesome places is my mission.My top initiatives are to improve physical, mental, and social health in communities. My professional skill-sets enable me to accomplish these objectives. As a design-zealot, I have quickly gained fluency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, ArcGIS Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketchup, Lumion, and hand sketching. While my skill sets with these applications are beneficial, I have also developed a knack for seeing planning and design in the terms of interrelated systems. Practice with these tools and skills has made comprehensive planning and design baseline for me.From collaboration in the past, I know the benefits of being a part of a motivated team. Dedication to a proactive organization will enable me to serve my community to the fullest capacity as a landscape architect.
