Sr. Automation Engineer
CurrentAs a QA Engineer, I use many open-source automation tools like Selenium, Java, Maven, TestNG, Git, GitHub, and Postman. As one of the Automation engineers, I design, develop, document, and execute test plans, and test cases as per system requirements and deliver fast releases. • Working closely with the client and development team onsite to cover new requirements and non-functional requirements.• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to share the accomplishments; what to do next and what are the impediments blocking the process. • Develop, update and execute test plans, test cases and test scenarios based as per system requirements. • By developing test automation framework and creating automated test scripts using object-oriented programming language Java, we improved maintenance and test coverage. • Design, develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver to automate manual testing solutions. • Effectively manage the test automation process by maintaining and updating Page Object Model designed pattern. • Locate objects using different locators such as ID, Name, LinkText, XPath, CSS Selectors to manage and organize page resources. • Conduct black-box testing and identify the test cases for regression testing. • Perform functional, smoke, sanity and regression testing to promote software quality standard.• Maintain CI/CD pipeline in continuous integration tool Jenkins. • Use web service testing tool RESTful API, Postman to validate Mulesoft APIs. • Retrieve, verify and validate test data using SQL queries from Oracle database.• Report and track software defects using bug tracking tool JIRA. Support developers by examining logs and debug files using Log4j logging framework. • Develop data-driven testing, cross-browser testing, and parallel test execution using TestNG and Selenium Grid. • Continuously evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement.
