Having worked in research, survey methodologies, and data collection as well as GIS and remote Sensing most of these practices have enabled me to build capabilities in employing geospatial technologies in different contexts over the years. I have especially improved in the areas of creating and utilizing research and survey designs, analyzing various types of data, and employing sophisticated geographic information systems and remote sensing techniques for the purpose of policymaking.In designing, creating, and enhancing geographical information systems applications such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and data visualization tools like ENVI I am able to perform the entire geographical information life cycle from data collection and management through processing and up to data presentation. This ease of use is important when it comes to data gathering and survey execution so that the spatial aspects of the research project are accurate.Moreover, with respect to remote sensing, particularly its classification, change detection and spatial analysis capabilities, I am able to effectively analyze satellite and aerial imagery. Such capabilities have come in handy when there was a need to track land cover and vegetation patterns as part of more broad-based research and survey activities focusing on various environmental issues.
