 Utilizing the professional subject matter expertise in poultry, dairy, small ruminants and beekeeping, develop curricula related to the agricultural technical content and training methods for the anchor firms and other firms in the value chain.  Identify constraints, challenges and opportunities along the value chain related to input supply or marketing and offer recommendations for improvement, including training and recommend topics for independent consultants’ participation in the project.  Implement facilitative activities to establish relationships with various firms within the value chain.  Provide leadership in the planning and delivery of training to anchor firms on how to engage with input suppliers for the purpose of increasing the quantity and quality of supplies. In some cases, this work may benefit from establishing training centers, demonstrations, or any other modern advisory service methods.  Developing various Deal Notes, MAPAs, and Due Diligence and Concept Notes for implementing various activities through partnership agreements across the countries. Assist regional field staff in providing technical information to firms in the value chain.  Work with women-owned private enterprises to improve firms’ productivity.  Design and develop resilience and stabilization activities for vulnerable farmers. Work with the gender and youth team to design and implement activities in the livestock sector.  Serve as a liaison point with stakeholders including commodity associations, veterinary associations, MAIL/DAIL, other government agencies, and donor organizations on behalf of the project.  Be available to respond to questions from the field during the data collection phase of the VCAs.  Contribute to the development of required reports, and Monitoring and Evaluation activities.

 Research on available food safety and hygiene training materials. Prepare dairy food safety and hygiene training presentation. Conduct training to dairy producers, milk collectors and milk processors (male and female) on new practical and procedure of dairy food safety and hygiene. Provide information to participants on challenges or barriers of implementing a standards scheme like HACCP, GMP or ISO. Train participants on set up documentation and proper record keeping of food safety and hygiene procedures. The purpose of this position is to prepare a curriculum and training materials for ensuring proper hygiene, safe handling, and biosecurity with poultry flock management for the farmers (male and female), poultry meat processors and poultry input suppliers. Research existing poultry training materials and get approval for use of relevant materials as needed.Update the curriculum to include poultry record management, biosecurity and poultry diseases prevention.

 Provide technical assistance for Partner Organization to build their knowledge regarding livestock rearing and health. Coordinate health inspection process with vet doctors as needed while keeping maintaining the relevant documentation of this Process and relevant reports to present upon request.  Check and verifying the livestock procurement process and health for Partner Organization.
