Deploy and manage technology solutions for students, faculty and staff for a library at a high-research activity, doctoral degree granting land-grant university.

Launched a content management system-driven library website, migrated from a formerly static HTML site, within my first five months. Using online services and tools, improve library communication with and services for students, faculty and staff. Harness social media to connect with the university community. Implement a digital repository to house the intellectual output of the university and digitized archival materials. Facilitate easy access to and user discovery of the library's physical and electronic holdings and resources.

Brought in to reinvent CADL's online offerings. Began by upgrading and redesigning the online catalog (http://opac.cadl.org/) to improve usability and usefulness for casual users (this effort, including creating custom search pages to assist patrons searching, won the 2006 Be Innovative! award from the Innovative Users Group). Migrated the public website from MS Frontpage/static HTML into the Plone content management system (http://www.cadl.org/). Implemented an online strategy to highlight the unique and valuable knowledge, expertise and insight of CADL's librarians and staff while eliminating redundant and less useful content. Worked with CADL's leadership to help them identify online activities as a strategic and organizational priority, engaging patrons with online services instead of an online "brochure."
