As an Environmental Engineering Intern, my main duty was to assist TTL clients in achieving or maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Clients I worked with in my internship were municipalities, industry/plants, construction sites, and development firms. The tasks and accomplishments I'm most proud of from my internship are:• Underground Storage Tank Closure (closure by removal)• Sub-Slab Depressurization Pilot Study (VCP site)• Multiple Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and reports• Best Management Practices (BMP) Plan• Stormwater Sampling• MS4 sampling and city employee trainingI also worked in TTL's Surveying department by writing legal deeds for a city's purchase of Right-of-Way and Permanent Easements along two different road projects. For these legals, I also updated the corresponding tract sketches in Civil3D.

As the Peer Career Mentor for UAB's School of Engineering, I worked directly beside the Director of Engineering Career Services, Neil Adams, to execute career fairs, plan employer events, and run career readiness workshops. I also served as the main face of our twice-weekly Walk-In Resume Labs where I met with students one-on-one to build, write, and/or revise their resumes. Additionally, I took on the job of advertising for the Office and created digital graphics and fliers for all of our events. I did all of this by working 10-15 hours each week while still managing my full-time student course load.
