My role at Welcome Studios as Production Coordinator involves working closely with the Production Manager in maintaining relationships with both clients and suppliers, to deliver specialised product in full and on time. In achieving this, I am tasked with maintaining master data integrity, closely tracking the production stage of current SKUs, and problem solving externalities that could arise along the way. This role also requires collaboration with the Head of Production and Sustainability in coordinating samples for compliance testing, working with materials suppliers and implementing our company wide sustainability goals throughout every step in our process.

Worked on a feature film in the Costume Department as both an Art Finisher and Assistant Standby. In this role I was able to exercise my practical sewing and art skills as well as develop further skills in leatherwork and breakdown. Costuming takes a lot of quick-thinking, creative problem solving and practical skill to evolve any costume for practical use, which is both demanding and a lot of fun!

Managed and built the seasonal production WIP, exercising thorough attention to detail to ensure all styles meet milestones in the critical path: including running the sample fittings and negotiating costs with both international and local suppliers. Responsible for communicating current production status to the rest of the company and working closely with the logistics department to provide transparency on incoming deliveries. Solely responsible for local production, inclusive of bulk fabric and trim ordering and guiding styles through the many hands of local garment production.Provide consistent support to suppliers to achieve their production deadlines by responding to ad hoc technical queries and creatively resolving any issues that may arise in the process.Overseeing and supporting the Production and Design assistant in their task management.Providing support to the Production Manager with ongoing administration and sample management.Tracking samples locally and internationally, preparing them for fittings, and fixing and steaming samples for photoshoots - in charge of communicating to the team if any notable changes were made during fittings.Issuing suppliers with seasonal tech packs, and packing lists and working with the design team to have bulk approvals for suppliers made in a timely manner.*June-September 2021: 3 months acting production lead, during head of department restructure.
