Stephen C. Frederico Email & Phone Number

Stephen is currently a medical student at the University of Pittsburgh, and a graduate student at Harvard Medical School. Prior to his time at Pittsburgh and Harvard, Stephen completed research fellowships at Duke University and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where his efforts were focused on designing immune-based therapies for brain tumors. Upon enrolling at Harvard, Stephen was awarded the prestigious Medical Scholars Research Fellowship (MSRF) award from the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI). This award has enabled Stephen to expand his understanding of pediatric brain tumors, as his projects at Harvard are primarily dedicated to understanding how these tumors initially develop, and how metabolic drivers contribute to tumor progression. Previously, Stephen completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biological Sciences at the College of Charleston, where he was named “Outstanding Student of the Year,” and a Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology at The Johns Hopkins University. Beyond his work in academia, Stephen serves as a professional speaker for the Folds of Honor Foundation.
