As the Program Manager, my role is to facilitate and manage our Department of Mental Health services, Summer Work Experience through Vocational Rehabilitation, and assist in our partnership with the Horizons program at Four Rivers Career Center.I oversee long term retention services and unit requests funded by the Franklin County Disability Resource Connection: SB40 Resource Board. I participate in planning meetings, modification requests, and service monitorings with our SB40 service coordinators. I developed our proposal to partner with Employment First: Technology in Employment Learning Community to serve as our technology ambassador to learn more about how assistive technology can support our clients with development disabilities. With acceptance into the program, I participate in monthly case studies, community learning, and collaborate with various providers throughout the state of Missouri. I also support our director of employment services in the continued expansion and development our employment services throughout Franklin County and surrounding areas.

Through the discovery and exploration process, I assess their skills and abilities to help them achieve their employment goals. Once an individual has found competitive employment, I educate employers about hiring individualswith disabilities/barriers to employment and develop relationships with hiring managers to increase the employment rate of individuals with disabilities. I also assist employers in identifying and implementing reasonable accommodations for employees including assistive technology. I also facilitate and support with our vocational skills classes. During these classes, I help individuals with navigating the social skills that it takes to be successful and independent in the workplace.
