Interning at Cajun Industries, I was introduced to different aspects of the construction industry. My time was spent in the office and in an industrial facility. My duties in the office included assisting estimators with soliciting prices for bids and assembly of bid packages. While at the industrial facility, I assisted the Project Manager with purchasing materials, keying time, and observing/assisting with weekly reports.

As a Construction Technician, I was tasked with performing density tests on soil and asphalt, testing concrete cylinders, and filling out reports on the tasks that were being completed.

I was a laborer for the summer working in a house that was getting torn down to the studs for a remodel. Some tasks include tearing out sheetrock, ceilings, floors, pulling nails, busting out concrete with a jackhammer, job site cleanup, and many other miscellaneous tasks.

I was a laborer for a project in Geismar during the summer between the end of high school and the beginning of college. This was a dirt work project where I was assigned many tasks ranging from completing JSA's in the morning to using a box blade on the tractor and many things in between.
