-Responsible for performing tasks required to assist Assistant District Attorneys. Including obtaining information through various methods, coordinating and communicating with a wide variety of individuals including the public and staff at varying levels, tracking/managing records for cases and other related duties.-Hand-deliver/Arrange for delivery/pick-up of documents to other bureaus, assigned ADAs, other agencies and elsewhere in a timely fashion. As well as obtaining confirmation of receipt as required — utilizing tracking information such as email, fax confirmation, return receipt, or other related methods.-Accurately communicate current status and progress of cases or case-relevant information to co-workers, attorneys or others, as required.-Draft legal documents and correspondence. (e.g. affidavits, subpoenas, orders to produce, 190.50 notices)-Perform clerical and related duties as needed including answering phones, taking messages, faxing, scanning and copying, and seeing witnesses scheduled to meet with attorneys.-Facilitate in-person and phone meetings between law enforcement officials, experts, witnesses, and attorneys in preparation for their testimony in court appearances, hearings, or trials.-Effectively write up new cases and order all paperwork required to create case files for court. Would receive approximately 15 to 20 cases weekly to set up for the assigned ADAs.-Obtain all necessary evidence and documentation relating to cases from outside sources and/or electronic systems. (e.g. labs {drug, ballistics}, 911 Calls/Sprints, court minutes, rap sheets, DMV abstracts, arrest/complaint reports, records {e.g. medical, phone, inmate, vital statistics, etc…}, certificates of dispositions)
