Talent Solutions Lead Manager
CurrentLead instructional design and implementation of relevant and intentional leadership development experiences for people leaders across the organization. The results of any needs assessment culminate in a proposal of a recommended path forward to a business unit leadership team, executive leader or both.Develop innovative, custom approaches to address obstacles to learning and development at Acuity Brands. One example of a learning experiment was the design of a story-based learning adventure, where I partnered with an external consultant to develop a "story world" and characters based in screen-writing methodology to improve learner engagement for eLearning content. Each "chapter" of this adventure requires the learner to make decisions that would impact the story, all while practicing their feedback skills.Configure the SuccessFactors LMS architecture to accommodate a shift in Learning and Development strategy toward a skills-powered organization. Responsibilities include developing a governance model to allow for prescriptive, personalized content to a wide variety of learner types, restructuring learning library categories and assignment protocol to improve the user experience, and tagging content to skills/competencies.
Talent Solutions Consultant
Strategically partnered with Senior Leadership to identify a set of core competencies and associated behaviors that were unique to the Acuity Brands business environment. Once identified, I partnered with Talent Management, HR, and business leaders to implement into the performance management, individual development planning, and learning processes. Additionally, I developed a communication and adoption plan for the new competency model to effectively manage through the change.Led a cross-functional team through an Learning Experience Platform (LXP) selection process. I was responsible for identifying potential LXP providers and gathering stakeholder feedback for down-selection. This project culminated in a proposal to Senior Leadership, who accepted the recommendation and encouraged the HR function to adopt this selection process as a new standard for vendor evaluation.Led the implementation of the SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) as both the project manager and key SME, successfully consolidating 95% of learning content and activity into one system. Partnering with our HR Information Systems team and leaders in production and remote environments, I assessed the learning needs of the organization to inform configuration decisions. Where appropriate, I also introduced automation of administrative tasks such as the creation of new security domains through integrations with other SuccessFactors modules.Managed the University Programs at Acuity Brands, which include the Leadership Program and Internship Programs. In this capacity, I was responsible for leading performance recruiting, onboarding, goal setting, performance review, compensation change processes, and cross-boarding processes on a biannual basis for over 150 university hires. Additionally, I served as chair of the "Steering Committee" governing body to ensure alignment with business unit and functional group strategic priorities.
Human Resources Leadership Program
Served as Project Manager for the transition to a new payroll and benefits provider for United States, Canada, and Mexico operations, resulting in over $2M in savings. This project involved analyzing payroll timeliness and accuracy data, leading a vendor selection process from 4 potential proposals, redesigning payroll processes and benefit enrollment processes for over 4 legal entities, and implementing updates to the SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll Modules.Successfully launched the organization's first learning library pilot through LinkedIn Learning for 500 learners.
