PhD Candidate in synthetic organic chemistry. My thesis work is on novel late-stage functionalization of cholesterol and the synthesis of unnatural sterols for improving mRNA delivery by lipid nanoparticles, specifically by modifying lipid tilt and disrupting lysosomal pathways to increase endocytotic recycling events. My synthetic approach focuses on efficient design, utilizing deconstructive approaches of chiral compounds for stereopure building blocks. My lab skills include synthesis, purification, and characterization, with specialization in mass spec, IR, and NMR analysis (H, C, F).
