Responsible for the strategy and execution of the US Medical Affairs plan for the cardiovascular and metabolism disease area. Collaborate and take a medical leadership role within cross-functional teams including representatives from commercial, market access, field medical, publications, health outcomes, marketing planning, research and development and corporate communications; interfaces with senior management. Play critical role in establishing/maintaining professional relationships with key medical experts in the field of cardiology/metabolism. Contribute frequently to medical product support and appropriate collaboration with the commercial group. Serves as a subject matter expert on clinical data, clinical program and cardiology/lipidology. Key functional responsibilities include:1) Medical content and strategic advice for product commercialization 2) Medical support of pre-launch/launch activities 3) Life cycle management /phase IV studies4) Planning, oversight of and active participation in execution of scientific communications in line with core strategies, i.e. planning for medical society presence, abstracts, and publications, writing of abstracts/publications 5) Participation in the medical review/approval process of commercial/promotional and educational materials 6) Strategic input and content development for advisory boards, symposia and other major cardiovascular congress activities
