I am a partner in the Kelowna and Vancouver offices of Lawson Lundell.I act as litigation counsel for clients involved in corporate/commerical disputes.My practice involves prosecuting and defending claims for clients across a wide range of industries. Most of my litigation practice pertains to disputes arising from the sale of goods or services, the construction and development of real-estate, the lending (and recovery) of money and enforcement of security, shareholder disputes, and claims of professional negligence. Although my objective is always to find a practical and cost-effective solution, I am experienced in utilizing the available judicial tools to enforce my client’s rights. I have done so successfully before mediators, arbitrators and all levels of court in British Columbia, Alberta and before the Federal Court.My litigation practice has a particular focus on commercial restructuring and insolvency, in which I represent clients in CCAA, bankruptcy, receivership and foreclosure proceedings. In those proceedings, I have acted for all parties affected by the insolvency process including: debtors, directors of debtor companies, secured creditors, insolvency professionals (in their capacity as trustee, receiver, or monitor) and unsecured creditors. As part of this practice focus, I have successfully prosecuted actions for fraud to locate, trace and recover misappropriated assets or their value.
