Software Engineering Lead for the Bank’s Card Servicing Lab. Accountable for over 100 UK and Offshore engineering colleagues who support change, run, technology risk and supplier management activities for the core Debit and Credit platforms and the Cards Digital journeys that sit across these. These larger scale platforms underpin Critical Business Processes that are key for our customers being able to manage their cards and pins through their channel of choice and transact safely whether online or in store. This could be using a physical or virtual card or a Digital Wallet such as Apple or Google Pay with the ability to personalise controls through the Bank Mobile application. Key focus on building industry leading Engineering capability and delivering Engineering interventions to support fast, efficient and safe delivery of change, unlocking value incrementally using an Agile delivery model. Underpinned through the use of modern DevSecOps tools and techniques ensuring the Route to Live is fully automated, allowing Engineers to focus on what matters for our customers and colleagues. Collaborating with the wider Cards industry and suppliers on transformation and modernization technology opportunities that will drive the cards industry in line with the wider Payments industry and with a focus on immediacy and low cost approaches for ongoing compliance and regulatory change. Focus on the creation of new and diverse engineering talent, equipped with the skills required to support the technologies aligned to Bank of the Future aspirations. Leading the Cards platform Bank of the Future roadmap activities aligned to the wider ambition of transforming and modernising the Bank’s technology estate.
