I am degree qualified in Business Studies (B. Bus. Uni of Newcastle) and IT. I have extensive hands-on experience, both at face-to-face customer and at supervisory levels and in both retail and hospitality. I have worked in the hotel industry and in warehousing. I have developed a digital marketing platform for an Australian based tourism company focussing on a USA East Coast target market and advised on developing a marketing plan for an Australian based technology consulting company. I am highly numerate with advanced computer skills as demonstrated by my proven ability to install and commission complex company operations systems in a fast moving customer focussed environment. I have directly supervised up to 10 staff and while my management style is patient/mentoring, I am prepared to and have made the tough calls. I am satisfied that my decision to gain practical real-world experience (and earn money!) before commencing my University studies helped add reality to the B. Bus. academic content.
