I was employed as the field service engineer in the construction division of Atlas Copco covering Scotland and Northern England . working on my own unsupervise. The role includes providing technical support , controller reprogramming , fault finding ,rectification and maintenance both mechanical and electrical on atlas copco’s range construction equipment including diesel driven compressors up to 30 bar , diesel driven generators up to 1 mega watt , hydraulic attachments , and dynapac road construction equipment including road rollers and the latest generation of road paver. I have also provided extra engineering support to the atlas copco minning division working on atlas copco surface drill rigs in open cast and aggregate quarries and support in a workshop role working on overhauling hydraulic rock drills and down the hole hammers.

I was employed as a mechanical production engineer, through an agency with Aggreko at there Renfrew and Dunbarton factory building gas generators. The role requires me to work to a set build process, Meet targets within set time periods while working as part of a three man team maintaining a balance build procedure. Also working on the inspection line mechanical inspecting generators post testing to ensure all equipment meets a high quality standard before shipment to customers

I have some experience in diesel fuel Injection as a diesel pump and injector engineer, the role involves strip downs, refurbishment, rebuild, testing and calibration of diesel fuel pumps and injectors.

In my time in the Royal Air Force as a Mechanical Engineer working on Aircraft Ground support Equipment involving schedule maintenance and reactive maintenance in a workshop environment and in adverse conditions as part of unsupervised mobile teams on a wild range of powered and non-powered mechanical equipment including diesel engine, Generators, Hydraulic rigs and Systems, Compressors and Pneumatics systems, Gaseous equipment, Weapon handling and Transportation equipment, access platforms, steps and staging and Lifting equipment. Other role includes being trained as an emergency reactive team in charge of operation of Fixed and portable Airfield arrestor gear use in the safe landing and recovery of aircraft in emergency's. Also in the RAF I have been duel trained as a vehicle technician working on a large range of mechanical transport vehicles ranging from cars to HGV’s and twin rig re-fuellers and fire engines. More specialised training I received in the RAF is Operator/Maintainer and Producer of Liquid oxygen (LOX) being responsible for all quality checks required for the production of 99.5% pure breathing air and Liquid nitrogen (LIN) used for engineering processes and for cryogenic medical use. More office and management role I have been involved in have been in the workshop control were I was using computer systems to generate and clear work packages delegate duties and reactive engineering tasks to appropriate trade cover. leas with user section to control and coordinate equipment requirements.Also working in the section training cell giving new arrivals relevant inductions training and keeping staff authorizations up to date including manual handling and more specific airfield authorizations and ensuring staff were up to date with current orders and training on new equipment.
