AAPS is a not-for-profit animal shelter that rescues and rehomes over 1000 animals per year. When AAPS’ home of 40 years was compulsorily purchased by the Government, the shelter appointed Scott to manage the project to move the entire operation to a temporary premises and to manage the construction of its new permanent home.Scott’s achievements in the role included:• Found and negotiated the lease on the temporary shelter• Secured all relevant council permits • Specified and managed the conversion of the building to a fully compliant animal shelter• Project managed the move of staff, animals, veterinary staff and a charity shop• Worked with architects to design the new shelter, ensuring it met the needs of a range of stakeholders, as well as all animal welfare regulations• Wrote and issued the tender for building works• Selected the building contractor and managed to ‘first shovel in the ground’

Pumbtec is a national buying group for retailers of plumbing supplies (trade and showroom). Scott built on the expertise gained in this field when he worked for Benton's Finer Bathrooms (a Plumbetc member), and took on the role of Database developer. He was responsible for designing and developing a single database for all the products supplied by Plumbtec, for use by their member stores.

Bentons is a retailer of bathroom and kitchen supplies to the public and to the plumbing trade. As the business grew stores, they needed to upgrade their mainly manual system to a full point of sale. Scott managed the implementaton across the entire network of stores and showrooms.

Hamilton Island

Scott managed a bar on Queensland's Hamilton Island resort - responsible for purchasing, food and beverage sales, RSA and staff.

After a few years in Telstra, Scott decided on a career in hospitality, and after acquiring the relevant qualifications, took on the role of Bar Manager at the prestigious Royal Melbourne Golf Club, where he was rsponsible for stocks, sales, staff and customer satisfaction.
