OVERVIEW: For the first time in Canada, 'traditional hospital care' is being tweaked. Previous implementations of this new model of hospital care have shown that American and Australian patients get better care, and the medical system saves money. My role is to ensure that this hospital care model is appropriately executed here in Canada, on one of the largest wards of the Pasqua Hospital. Additionally, this projects requires the procurement of pre-existing data to track patient wellness, patient flow, and patient-associated medical expenses.This position requires direct contact with: patients, physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, various hospital ward managers, and the director of patient flow.
