A detail-oriented and passionate individual, Scott Brown has been practicing architecture for over twenty years. Scott has been commissioned for institutional, commercial and residential projects, incorporating a delicate blend of classic and modern architectural design. These works are displayed in historic New England municipalities to include Cambridge, Concord, Weston, Nantucket, and Newburyport. Scott began his professional career after graduating from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 1995. He gained experience from a number of small architectural firms in the Boston area before launching his own practice, Scott Brown Architects, in January of 2007. Since then, he has maintained a small, productive practice in the historic City of Newburyport. Today, Scott Brown Architects is most active in high-end residential construction for both private clients and developers. The firm also engages frequently in sensitive renovations and restorations to older properties. Where many of these projects pose complex permitting challenges, Scott and his team take pride in collaborating with varying stakeholders to create architecture that compliments and enhances the surrounding landscape.
