My goals are, for the most part, based off of a basic principle. Leave everything better than how I found it. Isn't that the basis for the best things in life? This simple sentence is a mantra that I carry. I work hard to apply it to where I labor, who I speak with and especially to those I love. I recognize that I lack in many areas, but where I have my strengths I choose to do what I can.

Foreman And Lead FinisherBuxton Concrete Construction Sep 1999 - Jul 2011Ogden, IaThis was a start up business that my brother and I started in 1999. Towards the end of my concrete career I was the Foreman in charge of a crew of up to 15 individuals. Aside from training, I read blue prints at job sites and set up areas for crew members to set forms. I supervised and double checked their work for quality control. My brother and I grew the business from a residential concrete business to commercial, agricultural and even doing a multi-million dollar show piece for the Iowa Department of Transportation. If you ever have the pleasure of relieving yourself at the west bound rest stop by Adair, IA, be sure to look down and admire the concrete work!
