Key member of Intermedia's flagship UCaaS development team responsible for quality assurance and delivery of Intermedia's Voice Services products. QA engineers design, maintain, and execute a variety of test strategies to verify integrity and functionality of all software iterations prior to deployment into a production environment. QA engineers collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and product management to define and understand the Voice team's quality assurance needs. They create, implement and operate tools used to build, deploy and release Intermedia's Voice software by analyzing product design and understanding requirements specifications, translate them into a detailed and methodical test strategy using black/white/grey-box techniques to ensure quality and functionality of software they're responsible for. QA engineers are also an escalation path for support issues that otherwise would have been handed over to a software developer. They assist with supportability projects and require experience with bash scripting, Python, Java, C++ and JavaScript programming languages.

Primary responsibilities for tier 3 agents include monitoring Intermedia's custom designed session border controller clusters, troubleshooting PSTN carrier issues, fraud monitoring, improving and developing tools that front line resources utilize to support Intermedia Voice customers thus reducing call handle times and improving customer satisfaction (supportability), triage of emerging issues (SIEs) and 24/7 front line support for Intermedia's high MRR ($1M+) clientele who rely on Intermedia's proprietary wholesale SIP trunking and VoIP Volume (softswitch) services for their own service platforms. Tier 3 interfaces directly with network engineers, carrier relations and development teams to resolve complex issues that are escalated from Tier 2 support agents. Tier 3 are responsible for resolving issues by synthesizing and manipulating information in production systems for all of Intermedia's VoIP products. Tier 3 agents contribute to improving various features and usability of Intermedia's UCaaS products through bug testing and product development by acting as a liaison between partners, end users and Intermedia’s software developers. All Tier 3 support resources must exhibit a high degree of technical depth in Linux OS, VoIP, LDAP, QoS, networking, and security, along with key soft skills such as a self-directed work ethic with minimal supervision, strict attention to detail, excellent communication skills and professionalism.

Intermedia's Tier 2 Support focus on troubleshooting advanced cloud-based PBX VoIP telephony products and providing excellent customer service to Direct customers and Partners by owning hot escalations and coaching front line technical support. This position demands a high level of technical understanding of networking and information technology; as well as outstanding troubleshooting, communication, multitasking, team building, writing and organizational skills. This position affords Intermedia a satisfied and loyal customer base via thorough diligent knowledge base documentation, critical thinking and conflict resolution abilities. Intermedia’s Tier 2 Support Team is also a major contributor towards Intermedia’s repeated J.D. Power Certification in Excellent Technical Support.

Assist Intermedia's UCaaS customer base with technical inquiries related to VOIP telephony such as physical hardware problems, PSTN QoS issues and networking problems. Other responsibilities include provisioning phone devices, ordering hardware, performing account changes, processing payments, answering general service questions and handling escalations from other Customer Support organizations. Technical Support Engineers are responsible for delivering Intermedia's trademark Worry-Free Experience to all of their clients.

The Director of Education oversees all educational aspects of Seattle's premier DIYbio laboratory, HiveBio. This position affords a significant portion of the proceeds necessary to cover operational costs for the non-profit organization and is a critical component of community outreach. The education director oversees the entirety of the HiveBio education department staff, participates in workshop planning, scheduling and development, facilitates class marketing and works closely with other departments to ensure consistent and high quality educational services. The education director also acts a key administrator for the organizational needs of the laboratory and participates heavily in seeking grant money for the organization, networking with science organizations in the Seattle area and working closely with WA State schools to provide economically friendly alternatives to traditional science education programs for the community.

Assisted lab technicians and Lab Stores doing standard laboratory work and clean up. Repairing broken equipment, restocking chemicals, cleaning glassware, maintaining physics lab instruments, and organizing lab space. An important role as lab aide included assisting students participating in lab primarily by setting up equipment for them, demonstrating how to use the instruments as well as interpret data collected from these instruments, and answering their questions related to lecture to help them understand the material.

Focusing on performance art and music production, the Mas Sol Collective is a student run organization that organizes music events and festivals at venues in and around the cities of Olympia, Bellingham, and Seattle. As an associate of this organization I performed music and promoted many events in the Olympia area which succeeded in bringing talent from the student body at the Evergreen State College to the public eye.

Participated in researching hydrokinetics, and the effects that this technology has on marine biota. This research afforded WDFW with the ability to provide 1) guidance to developers on how to protect biodiversity; 2) guidance for adaptive management research on the affected marine/estuarine biota; and 3) provision of information to the public regarding the risk tradeoffs of such energy development.

Helped create ISD’s new web page by cleaning code, testing new ideas put forth by the webmaster, designing an intranet shell, and doing other CSS/HTML support tasks that aided in the complete redesign of the school district’s old website.
