I had the great honor and privilege of being the founding Principal and Campus Director for STEM Academy of Lewisville, a 6th-12th grade school that is part of the ResponsiveEd network. STEM Academy offers a 21st century classical education, "Socrates in the digital age", to help students become good, virtuous citizens able to make an impact in the 21st century world.STEM Academy challenged each student with an engaging, transformative and in-depth curriculum, while creating a seamless transition between high school and college by empowering students through the use of self-directed learning as the pedagogical foundation for each and every learner, providing a challenging STEM environment, and increasing the opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school.

At Founders Classical Academy we promote a two thousand year old liberal arts and sciences tradition. Our school is “classical” but it is also, in a manner of speaking, cutting edge. In fact, we promote a somewhat countercultural notion in this twenty-first century – the belief that students are made for, and should be educated for, much more than jobs and careers. We view students for who and what they are, dignified human beings endowed with natural rights and gifts. With this in mind, we have a tremendous responsibility to help parents cultivate students and their gifts so they can live good and happy lives in a state of liberty. This is the essence of a “liberal” education.
